WHO WE ARE:
Found Objects Gal Mercantile is a maker, a finder and a reseller. We are based in sunny Southern CA with a location in crabtastic Maryland, just south of Washington, D.C. We sell a variety of times from Goods & Grocery to vintage or even new clothes (the new or used
clothes
are largely from our own overflow shopping typically with periodic amazing vintage clothing finds we feel are extra special) and home decor or kitchen tools typically.
We have a shop of fantastic antique and vintage household or decorative items as well as handcrafted, artisan pieces for the home. Our vintage clothes are typically from our own large collection or estate sales in the So Cal region.
When we buy for resale or make our own products, we keep in mind the term “useful decorative”. We want you to love what we find and get more use out of it than purely decorative. Once in a while we are all decorative though!

RECOMMENDATION FOR BUYERS ON CONDITION:
I try to describe every listing accurately and possibly with more detail than you need:
NON-VINTAGE GOODS: FOOD-RELATED, HYDRATION OR OTHERWISE:
We travel often nationwide and find amazing deals to pass along. This truly is the focus of our buying. If there is an item listed, it is because we have been asked to find it, or found an amazing deal, or love it, or know others that need it. We can hunt for things if you have something special in mind. Just message us.
VINTAGE or ANTIQUE:
I am not an expert at all vintage or antique items or clothing. Please keep in mind that Vintage items are largely estate items, are therefore are likely used and can show some wear. You can evaluate the condition of the items in the photos but do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Condition and color is subjective and my opinion. I strongly encourage all buyers to review photos carefully, utilizing the zoom feature to complete the item description and make their own determination of the condition, color, issues or idiosyncrasies and ask all questions before purchase.  I will be happy to answer them, quickly.
Vintage & pre-loved items in almost all instances will show some sort of wear or age & it's important to set expectations accordingly. Most VINTAGE items will have a minimum of 25 years of age to them. I do my absolute best to inspect and disclose major flaws- i.e. stains, holes, tears.
PET/SMOKE:
Also, many vintage, antique items or clothing come from estates and therefore it is impossible to know if an item came from a pet-free/smoke-free home- if you're sensitive this, take this it into consideration prior to purchasing.
However our smoke-free household is pet-friendly and DOES have a hypoallergenic dog. To our knowledge, he has no interest in anything we buy but we believe in full disclosure that he is in the house too.
SHIPPING:
New Regional Food or Hydration items:
Shipped in original packaging, likely in a brown box and occasionally in a polymailer if secure to
utilize for things like seasoning packets etc..
Treatment of non-food items:
All items are looked at, reviewed, sanitized where appropriate, wiped or buffed with a dry cloth where appropriate before shipping and lovingly wrapped as though it was our own or a gift. I recommend washing clothing prior to wear.
Shipping costs:
If I can include free shipping, I do but I charge the fairest shipping rate based on your location beyond that.
I will always double check shipping options prior to listing and refund the difference if I can save you money. I work hard to determine the accurate price though upfront, based on weight and shipping. Please take a look at what else we have because if we can bundle a deal for you, we are happy to consider making you a private listing or combine shipping costs!
USPS: We primarily ship USPS and even with the Nationwide slowdown, we have found they are doing what they need to do to get the product in your hands. If you have issues, please message us to discuss the tracking of your item prior to filing a claim as this is a prolonged process. Trust me when we say we want to get that product to you as much or more than you want it!
